Aztec Event Services is a well established provider of audiovisual, IT and event staging services for conferences, events & exhibitions, mainly in the UK, but also across Europe. Having recently won some significant new contracts we are looking for a high calibre Senior AV Technician.

Based close to Mitcham Junction train station, we are looking for somebody with good initiative and a solid AV background. The role is full time.

We urgently need a Senior AV Technician who is able to work under their own initiative, delivering, installing and operating equipment in a variety of environments. On larger projects we will expect you to take the technical lead working with the project manager to plan the technical specification and implementation of events and then work as part of a team taking part in the onsite rigging, operating and de-rigging of all the associated AV equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, having worked as an audiovisual technician for at least three years, possibly as an in-house technician who is looking to get into a more challenging corporate events environment. The job will suit someone who wants to develop their career rapidly in an internationally recognised and expanding business.

You should have a very good all round technical knowledge of a wide variety of AV and IT equipment. This includes sound, video and projection equipment, plus good experience of stage, set and lighting. A full clean driving licence is also essential.

Naturally this is a position that requires the individual to lead by example, ensuring that deadlines are met, a high quality of service is maintained and safe methods of work are deployed at all times.

Aztec is a friendly and very well respected company. We encourage personal development providing in-house and external vocational and product training across all of the business supporting the delivery of services. The role itself is tailored towards those who are looking for a stable environment where loyalty is highly valued and the individual takes great pride in their work. It will suit a candidate who is looking to commit to a role for several years.

Candidates must have technical experience, be excellent communicators and have a positive 'can do' attitude. If you feel you have the necessary skills, please forward your CV as soon as possible to hr@aztecuk.com.
