20 June 2011
UK Radiological Congress, Britain’s leading and largest diagnostic imaging congress, took place from 6th – 8th June in Manchester Central Convention Centre. Consisting of a large conference, multidisciplinary exhibition and specialized workshops, the congress focused on emerging technologies and brought top international speakers to speak on a variety of topics.
After successfully catering for last year’s UKRC, Aztec once again supplied AV and IT equipment across the board of the show. We did the stage, projections and lighting for the main Eponymous Lectures theatre holding 400 people, and a string of smaller theatre, seminar and breakout rooms ranging from 300 – 50 people. We also live streamed popular Keynote speeches from the main theatre to smaller theatres and overfill areas. A stunning Christie MicroTiles™ wall was installed at the interactive Siemens stand, alongside 10 new Cyberpod kiosks.
Aztec was also heavily involved with the high-tech workshops and demonstrations. For cardiac workshops at the Siemens stand we enabled complex MSK ultrasound demos using video and Powerpoint presentations. We also had a twin screen projection for the CT scan workshop.

Our creative services sister company Aztec Digital Media filmed the conference and edited it on site, with a DVD produced on the fly just in time for the closing party!
